The first-ever Future Festivals Summit gathers over a hundred cultural innovators for much-needed conversations about tomorrow’s festival ecosystems. Hosted by MUTEK Montréal as part of its 25th anniversary edition, speakers including Drew Hemment, Nancy Lee, Rilla Khaled, Cassie Thornton, Bani Brusadin, and Liam Young urged festival makers to expand access, equity, and environmental sustainability. As Hemment put it: “Festivals are spaces where society reinvents itself.”
